We offer two different Primary Latin courses. Minimus is an exciting and widely used Latin course. The stories are set at Vindolanda, a real fortress on Hadrian's Wall in the 1st century AD and follow the adventures of a Roman officer's family. The course has a strong focus on English grammar, makes use of the cultural artefacts adn discoveries found at Vindolanda, and tells some of the most famous Greek myths. The course is well supported with books, online resources and other materials.
Alternatively, you can use Maximum Classics, which delivers a one year foundation Latin course with highlights of Classical culture. All classroom ready plans and materials are available online for free.
We have a KS2 writing workshop by author Caroline Lawrence, focusing on myth on Thursday 27th June 2019 - information here and FREE Latin and Greek training for Primary schools on 28th & 29th August - information and booking on our events page
We can support secondary schools to introduce Latin, Ancient History, Classical Civilization or Ancient Greek to their timetables at any Key Stage, both in the curriculum and as clubs. Explore cross curricular opportunities and find out how Classics can be used within your existing curriculum. We can support the training of your own teachers, for free, or use our teachers.
Apply for the School Direct programme jointly run through Hope University and Liverpool College to teach Latin and Classical Civilization. Subject specialism is taught in house and tailored to trainees needs.
